After having 2 failed attempts at my part 3 with training from a franchised company I decided to take matters into my own hands and find an ordit trainer in my area. This led me to Diane Everett Skinner who I cannot thank enough for the help that she gave me. Her advice and guidance was professional and very easy to understand. She helped explain things to me in a way that I have never experienced before. Her knowledge and expertise is second to none. Even though I have passed my part 3 now I will be revisiting Diane for on-going support to grow my business and to develop my teaching skills further. I cannot recommend Diane highly enough for the help that she gave me.
I have completed the required training to now apply for my trainee licence. This training with Di has been a fantastic experience and very enjoyable, not scary like I thought it might be. I feel I have learned so much and my confidence in my ability to now go out and teach is high. Di has supported me every step of the way. I can't thank her enough for making me ready to teach and I now look forward to many successful years as a driving instructor. I would recommend Di and this training package to anyone. Thank you Di.
The Pathfinder ADI and personally Diane work was amazing! They are very well structured using the most up-to-date training materials and they prepare you for the actual requirements, and not just for that rather to be a successful driving instructor for life long! Because of them I passed my Part 1 and Part 2 exams in the same week with minimal faults. Thank you so much! :)
The anxiety kicked in the day I opened the letter inviting me to attend my ADI standards check appointment.
After attending an afternoons training with Dianne I left with new confidence and an exact understanding of what I needed to do to achieve the A grading I was hoping for.
Thank you so much Dianne for the great training and guidance that enabled me to achieve my goal.
I really enjoyed the recent in-car coaching as part of my BTEC Level 4. I found your methods really clicked with me, and everything I learnt this last year seemed to slot into place. I've been particularly mindful of how I have asked questions and ensuring that I'm listening for key words in answers. I feel I've gained many new techniques and enhanced those I already possessed. Thanks once again.
Excellent training from Diane, and a well structured, well resourced training programme from Pathfinder. Every training session was professionally delivered by Diane drawing on her considerable knowledge & experience. Highly recommended.
After finding out that I received incorrect learning in preparation for my adult part 3 exam I felt very deflated! However had my first session with Diane yesterday and have a better understanding of what is expected to become the best instructor I can be! Had my eyes opened and felt 100% motivated to try it again in a completely different direction. I am confident with Diane’s help that I will pass my second attempt at my adi part 3 and can not wait for further training with Diane!
I was lucky enough to have a days in-car training with Di. Prior to the session I wasn't really sure about how the day would go and what would be expected of me. I generally prefer to learn in a classroom environment where I can hide at the back in fear of making myself look stupid in front of my peers. In car training seemed a bit daunting and I particularly recoil at the thought of 'role play'. From the moment I met Di I felt relieved as she was so calm, kind, professional and knowledgeable. You quickly realise you're in safe hands.
As for the training itself, it is designed to lean towards your personal strengths whilst gently bringing out your weaker areas for development. Nobody was made to take on any particular role, but encouraged to try to come out of our comfort zone with a view to getting the most out of the session. The feedback was positive, encouraging, honest and constructive. We all left with a personal development plan and a genuine offer of follow up help if it was needed.
I would definitely recommend Di for any stage of training, I've already been an instructor for 18 years and yet learnt so much in that 1 day session. I especially learnt how to treat other people based on how I was treated that day.
Just to say a big thank you to you both for the presentation on the Standards Check, highlighting the Risk Management section. The timing of this presentation came two days before my Standards Check, and confirmed what I had read previously in the Driving instructors handbook. At first glance it seemed it was going to be difficult to adapt to the new way of teaching, but after studying and reading the book twice, it soon started to become second nature. I scored 49 and was pleased with the way the lesson went on the day. The two marks dropped were both in the Teaching and Learning Strategies. Your last bit of advice certainly helped, when you said not to become aware of the examiner.
I would recommend that any Instructor who is worried about the new Standards Check, takes the time to read and study what the test requires or gets in contact with Diane before their test is due.
I’ve been on numerous training sessions with Diane, and I love her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge for driving. I’ve never not enjoyed a sessions, as she treats those present like the adults they are. Any opportunity to use her skills and knowledge should be snapped up. Recommend totally.
Diane helped to train and develop my skills today on the TCIT course care of Tri Coaching Partnership. You can't help but notice Diane's confidence and wealth of experience when coaching driving instructors to become ADI Trainers.
Enjoyable, professional and very informative. Thanks again Diane and hope to see you soon
For any ADIs who need support and guidance in preparing for their SC test I highly recommend Di Diamond from Pathfinder. Di has many years of training experience which is reflected in her thorough and professional approach. Her practical one to one instructor training scenarios, debriefs and reports played a significant part in helping me to achieve a high grade for the test. Thank you Di!
