“As Pretty As the Pictures!”Reviewed 3 days ago NEWvia mobile

River Ranch is the perfect place to get away and relax. Rustic decor with an elegant touch in every room. The main living room was so cozy with a fire in the fireplace and I loved having a Chai latte each morning at the little coffee bar set-up by the kitchen. It was a bit too cold to grill, but the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. My favorite part was enjoying the view from the large deck on the back of the house. I could watch the river flowing past for hours during the day and enjoy the tranquility of the moon and stars at night. There was no better way to energize for the hustle and bustle of the holidays and I can't wait to go back!

“Amazing Property”Reviewed 4 weeks ago

My husband and I stopped at the River Ranch B&B on our drive through Mississippi. The River Ranch was fabulous! I wish that we could have stayed longer and had more time to relax and take advantage of the things to do on the ranch. With more time, I would have dropped a fishing line in the river, had an evening campfire, hiked around more and just sat outside and read a book in the beautiful surroundings. The bed was extremely comfortable and the internet (which I needed to work remotely) had a fast connection. The hosts Gina and Vicki were wonderful and extremely accommodating. They gave us some excellent restaurant suggestions and took time to show us their horses, etc.
I would suggest if you go there to bring some items to stock the fridge with snacks because you won't want to leave!

My family loves staying in a bed and breakfast. We have stayed in many different types. When we found River Ranch we fell in love. My family has stayed at River Ranch several times. We truly love going here. The cabin is eloquently decorated with a rustic feel. All of the rooms are very clean and well supplied with the amenities needed. Each room is provided with a quaint continental breakfast. A Keurig coffee maker with an assortment of K-cups was also in each room. The cabin overlooks the river which has a sand beach. You can swim, sunbath, and fish. We caught several nice sized fish. The cabin is one mile off the main road so it is very private. We saw a mother deer with her small fawn in the front yard of the cabin. We also saw deer several times as we were hiking the property. The property has plenty of trails for hiking or bike riding. The property is locked and gated so it is very safe. We enjoyed building a fire at night, roasting hotdogs and making s'mores. We also went into Hattiesburg for plenty of restaurant choices, mall shopping, seeing a movie, and visiting the zoo. We were on a family vacation but this would be a wonderful place for an anniversary or honeymoon. My husband and I are planning a couples getaway soon there. I highly recommend River Ranch for your next vacation. I am glad to give this property a 5 star rating.

My stay at River Ranch Lodge was so wonderful. The 200 acres was once a tree farm so your surrounded by nature, quite serene and very tranquil.
The lodge and the management are so accommodating your every wish is met. Their attention to detail reminds me of when I have traveled to Toyko, Paris, or London.
What a perfect venu for Weddings, corporate meetings, and family reunions.

We Loved River Ranch!

We stayed at River Ranch over the holidays and loved it! The rooms were clean and beautifully furnished! The view of the river from the back porch was so nice and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Remarkable Location - real peace and quiet by the river

This unusual B&B deserves high marks, particularly for its fabulous location. The River Ranch is, true to its name, right on a river. What an idyllic spot. I jumped in for a refreshing dip - river shoes recommended, 'cause the bottom can be a little pebbly. The rooms are nicely appointed. If you're looking a getaway where you can commune with nature, this place is for you.

love river ranch

River ranch was wonderful my husband and i spent our anniversary there and will no doubt be back the smell of fresh wood and spring water will take your breath away and miss vikki was so nice at helping us get setaled in love love love this place.

River Ranch makes you forget the chaos that awaits you back home--truly a place for a family to rejuvenate!

We love River Ranch so much, that we went back again in the course of one month, and this time we brought the whole family with us! River Ranch is a quiet, country rustic/modern log home that is nestled amongst pines and oaks, with a large deck overlooking the river, but is only eight minutes from the city! It is really gorgeous, and a place for the whole family, or a couple to rejuvenate and reconnect. For our girls birthday, we rented out the tree house suite, which is the entire top level of the cabin. I must say, I was VERY impressed! I loved every detail, from the number of beds (there were four total upstairs) and soft, magnificently outfitted beds, to the pure, organic soaps, shampoos and other amenities--and let's not forget the gorgeous views of the river and the morning sun coming in the upstairs loft windows, making mirrors sparkle, and high thread count white bed linens seem whiter and even more inviting. The children enjoyed the koi fish, ponies, playing on the sandy beach, and the river. We grilled out on the deck, sang happy birthday, and enjoyed being together as a family. Since there was noone else renting the place, we had the whole house to ourselves, and I cannot tell you how nice that was. After the children were in bed, we drank wine by firelog light under the stars, just kicking back and relaxing. Here, you really can have it all. This place has not left any stone unturned nor spared any expense to make your stay comfortable and pampered. I rate River Ranch up there with some of the best 5 star rated B&B's and the best part is, they do not charge for extra amenities, as so many B&B's do! You will not be disappointed. note: I could not rate the dining high, since no dining is offered, but the continental breakfast is good, and is offered in the best atmosphere possible--in a comfortable Tennessee hand-crafted rocking chair, just the right amount of cool shade, morning sun shining, overlooking the river. Could it get any better?

A Jewel of natural beauty

The house is unique, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. All wood interior is very warm. Vicki is a wonderful host!

River Ranch B & B, Hattiesburg, MS

After all my years of travel and of staying at B & Bs, I can honestly say that the River Ranch stands as my favorite. We were there just before my son's deployment overseas and were able to have a Christmas celebration with him complete with Christmas tree, dinner, and gift exchange. Tiffany, the manager, was very helpful. All three of the guest rooms are lovely and VERY comfortable. This place is about good taste and casual elegance. I loved sitting out on three different decks and also out by the river with three hundred acres to buffer us from the rest of the world. A lovely escape.

Hidden Gem

River Ranch exceeded our expectations on every level. The property was secluded and private, but very accessible to town. The decor of the common areas and specifically the rooms was rustic and elegant - which is very hard to find. The bathrooms featured high end products which is special treat you don't usually see in a B&B. Tiffany was very helpful with restaurant, shopping information and basically anything we needed to may our stay perfect. We were there for a college roommate reunion trip. The Riverfront Screened Porch was great for sipping wine, playing cards and catching up - all while taking in the beautiful view of the Bowie River. If you miss your Grandmother's cooking be sure to eat at Mack's on the River. It's right down the road and only open Thurs - Sunday lunch. This property would be a great place for small family gatherings, business retreats, reunions or intimate weddings. Our mistake - we didn't stay long enough. We are already planning a trip back. However, next time we want to share it with more friends and plan to rent the WHOLE house!
