Our 11yo daughter loves Leg Up! She has been riding Western Style for several years and is finding the transition to English Style a fun challenge. Such great instructors and the horses well trained. Highly recommend!
My 9-year old daughter LOVES Leg Up Equestrian! She has been to summer camp for the past several summers and is now taking group riding lessons. The people are friendly, knowledgeable and know how to effectively work with kids and horses both. It’s a quality program at the perfect level for her.
Leg Up Equestrian is a wonderful place to ride. My daughter looks forward to her lessons all week long. The staff is so wonderful & attentive and they do so many fun activities with the horses. It is a first class operation.
Great program and teaching. Kathy really takes her time with the kids and makes sure they fully grasp all the concepts. The program is set up by levels and students have to pass written tests and prove their skills before they can advance. Eventually students "graduate" to the level of farm helper and are able to help out around the barn and learn real life skills of working. Thanks for all you do.
Participated in a ladies "Meetups" riding lesson here and I had a blast! Haven't been on a horse in years but that didn't matter. S. was very kind, patient and a terrific instructor. Can't wait for the next ladies night lesson! I highly recommend Leg Up for lessons for any age. Thank you to Cathy and S.
I had a great time at the Beginners Ladies Night
Scott, our instructor did a great job pairing us with horses, teaching us to groom, tack,
and ride in such a light, easy and fun way.
I can’t wait until the next one!!
What a great place!
Great experience working with the owners of Leg Up Equestrian! They respond our questions and requests very quickly and very kindly. They made our summer camp registration a smooth process. They truly value every current and even future customer.
FANTASTIC experience! My son learned about all about horses: how to feed them, clean them, ride them, and more! It was a challenge finding a Summer Camp that was not for young women learning English Style. Leg Up certainly does that too, but we just wanted a beginners' horseback riding camp. When planning this year's summer activities, Leg Up was the only one my son begged to do! In a world of screens and wifi, it was a tremendous blessing to offer my son this experience.
Our 11yo daughter started at Leg Up Equestrian during one of their day camps in the summer of 2015. She then started weekly lessons and has been doing so ever since. She loves the horses, the instructors, the riding corrals, and lessons. We love that she gets to spend time with horses; not just riding, but also caring for them. After the first couple levels, students are strongly encouraged to come early and to stay late, in order to clean the stalls and barn, wash and brush the horses, clean and put away tackle etc. Lizzie definitely won’t grow up to be afraid of getting dirty or hard physical work. The horses are well cared for, the barn and facilities are well-maintained, the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, and the students have fun while learning. Highly recommended.
I gave my niece an introductory lesson to see if we want to sign up for riding lessons. She had a great time. Her instructor was very kind and patient. He spent time showing her everything. She had a marvelous time and now we really need to look into lessons!!!
