Had a trip up their direction today so decided to pop in and get some hardwoods for a couple of projects I've been planning to do. Honestly every single member of staff we interacted with were as welcoming, friendly and helpful as could be. Even my wife who I dragged along had a hoot with them. If your a turner (not ventured down that avenue yet myself) they seem to have a great selection of pen and bowl blanks in a huge variety of species. Honest advice, very helpful and I will be back again.

After initially getting off to a poor start with Strahans I would have to say that they have handled my issue promptly and professionally. I returned today and purchased more items from them and have to say the guy on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful, and indeed all staff were brilliant. They way a problem is sorted wins a customer and they went out of their way to help. I would not hesitate to recommend Strahan timber for quality and customer care.

Timber is flawed majority of time. Straight boards is a rarity, mostly warped, every board is completely unique and not consistent. Customer service is severely lacking at the till. Folks in warehouse seem nice enough. There's only one genuinely good helpful person at counter, the younger guy with darker hair. The orher guy (no hair) makes you feel like you're totally inconveniencing him by being there or asking questions. Just not helpful and way below par product as far as timber goes. Makes any project more difficult with lack of consistency. Beware...

Any strahans staff i have seen don't wear face masks. Every day during lunch five staff members wearing strahans uniforms all go into the local shop in the industrial estate without any attempt to cover their face with not a care in the world. Even the strahans delivery drivers making deliveries around the estate are walking into businesses without a face covering. Its quite disrespectful in my opinion and gives off a bad image of the company.
