Was referred to here by my neighborhood veterinarian when my guinea pig was recommended for an ultrasound and my normal vet was unequipped to do this. I took my guinea pig in and told them about the recommendation. They did not perform the ultrasound, and instead performed all of the services that my neighborhood veterinarian already did for hundreds of dollars more. They recommended my guinea pig for surgery. I spoke again to my neighborhood vet, who informed me that they had a vet on staff who confirmed he was in need of the surgery and was experienced in it for a more affordable price for my budget. I informed Nautilus of this, and requested that I receive a copy of my guinea pig's x-rays for the vet to do the surgery the following day. I requested copies of the x-rays at 9am, 2pm, and 5pm. I did not receive them until after 5pm. When I called and told them my email address, they repeated it back to me perfectly, but then claimed that they somehow sent it to the wrong email address. I was very frustrated and nervous about this whole day affair that should have taken minutes, as not getting the x-rays would mean no surgery for my guinea pig the following day. It really felt like they just wanted to punish me for not using their services that did not fit into my budget. I do not think my neighborhood veterinarian will be recommending this place again, either.
Responding to the reply: I appreciate the time that was taken to respond to this, and I agree that Dr. Applegate is very knowledgeable, however this is not entirely factual. The tech who took my pet inside the building was informed that an x-ray was already performed and that an ultrasound was recommended, as was the woman on the phone who scheduled the appointment for me.
