Trying to find a headstone in any circumstance is hard and emotionally draining never mind trying to find one for your stillborn baby. I had spend some time researching local monumental masons, but I was drawn to the family history behind this company. I am so glad I was. We were welcomed into the selby store by Lisa, she just read how my wife and I were feeling and just took the lead. She wanted to know all about our Son Reuben, which meant so much. She asked us for ideas, asked to see his nursery and even pictures of Reuben. Together we made a plan, Reubens headstone was designed and finishing touches were added. I changed my mind so many times over the months of having his stone made, I was met with compassion and empathy every step of the way. I was never a hindrance and all of the employees were determined to get Reubens stone just how we wanted it. Lisa is such a caring soul, she has even called to check in on my upon return to work. The artwork and presentation of Reubens stone is perfect, I couldn’t have wished for anything else. Even the men who install the headstones are very respectful at the cemetery, E.g not waking across graves and having gentle conversations with mourners. I’m so very thankful, I cannot recommend using JW Myers enough.

Myers Memorials approached our family last year offering a memorial stone for our late father/grandfather, who was a Normandy veteran and was very well known around the area we live in having served as a county councillor, a local councillor and Mayor of the town. His final selfless task was to donate his body to medical science, which left us in a position of not being able to find closure but Myers helped us with this in donating the stone and giving us a place to visit.
