No detail has been missed in this heavenly country oasis. From the moment we arrived, we felt like absolute royalty. The ‘cottage’ (a slight understatement as it’s BIG) has been beautifully and luxuriously renovated, but retains its gorgeous cosy country feel. The bedrooms are huge with comfy beds and beautiful linen. If FOMO didn’t get the better of me, I could’ve spent all day in that bath with the balcony doors open soaking up the sights and sounds of the country. Making dinner was a pleasure in the fully equipped kitchen – again, no detail or utensil overlooked – a first in my experience of holiday rentals! We made excellent use of the champagne bar while doing our various dinner tasks, drinking wine and watching the sun set through the trees. Once dinner was done the sun was well and truly down, we made ourselves comfy in beanbags around the fire pit, with one of our friends retiring to the nearby hammock for a power nap - like I said, no detail overlooked! The following morning, we strolled around gorgeous Bundanoon, visiting the local market to pick up a delicious quiche, carrot cake & the most giant potatoes I’ve ever seen, then stopped for breakfast at the Terrace Teashop. Super friendly & a menu so good it’s almost impossible to choose. Then it was back to Fulford Folly to happily do it all over again! It’s the type of place you could stay for a day or a week, but come away feeling completely relaxed and recharged. I can’t recommend Fulford Folly highly enough - I was so sad to leave that we’ve already started planning an another visit. We can’t wait to see the colours of gorgeous Bundanoon in autumn.
