Josie is the consummate professional and her photography is stunning! She's done two family photo sessions for us so far and both exceeded our expectations. She's very detail oriented, efficient, and turns around work promptly. We can't wait to work with her again.

We loved our Fall Mini photo shoot with Sunny Melon Photography. Our pictures are so AMAZING. I am super impressed with the entire experience. She picked a great spot for the pictures and made us feel super comfortable. She also stayed way longer than the time planned so we could get good photographs. Turned around the pictures super quickly and they are so great. Would definitely recommend her and would love to do another session for our family with her.

We had the most incredible session with Josie at Sunny Melon photography. She is a baby whisperer! I had no idea the photo session itself would be so enjoyable. We watched her make gorgeous photo tableau's with our little Sienna, calm her down expertly and the baby slept through the entire session! I could not believe how amazing the photos turned out. There are at least 20 photos (or more) that could easily be made into amazing wall photos for our home and grandparents. I wish we had more wall space! Josie was amazing to work with and our baby loved her. The entire experience was delightful and so worthwhile. I would highly, highly recommend working with Josie and your family. As a new parent we didn’t think much into newborn pictures until we had a newborn in our hands. I was worried that we had waited to long to make an appointment to take newborn photos even though I had been looking at photos from Sunnymelon for a while now. At the last minute I emailed Sunnymelon to make an appointment, Josie was super quick to respond and was able to fit us into her schedule the next day. We showed up to her studio and everything was ready to go. Our photo session was great, the little one never woke up once. Josie was able to keeping sleeping the whole time with her amazing tricks. After the session was so eager to see the pictures, she was so quick with the turn around. She made the photo reveal day very special. In the end of course we purchased more photos then we intended on cause we feel in love with all of them. We will definitely be back again to do more photos in the future.

We’ve been working with Josie for the last three years and she’s delivered nothing short of amazing. She is kind, professional, communicates well, and goes way beyond expectations each time. We chose Josie because her photos were a cut above the typical newborn photos. She has a good eye for the subtleties. Soft colors, good use of light and shadows really bring out the emotion in the photos. She was also really good with the baby.

She also has a crazy fast turn around time to getting your photos, and for impatient people like me that is a huge bonus :) To top it off, her photos are AMAZING!!!!!!!

Josie’s body of work speaks for itself and I was very excited to choose her to capture our upcoming baby’s first year! I’ve never had professional photos done before and my husband and I decided to do a maternity photoshoot. Needless to say I was VERY nervous but Josie made it so comfortable. She was patient and very sweet throughout the whole process and the photos turned out amazing. She is worth every penny and I cannot wait for her to take photos of our little one when he arrives.

Josie is an amazing photographer and her talent is exceptional!! I requested a "light and airy" feel for my newborn's photography session and she captured the look perfectly. She was very responsive to my questions and the turnaround time for the photos was 3 days! I look forward to working with Josie again to capture more special moments.

Josie is such a wonderful photographer and came highly recommended! It is always so awkward for my husband and I to take pictures, but she made us feel so comfortable and our pictures turned out great. Her communication was always super quick and replied to us almost always within an hour or much less! I also need to mention that she is a soldier and a woman of her word! She had been fighting the flu but I would have had no idea during our session. She's so professional and incorporated all of our random props. She was also super patient with our mischievous fur babies. Her turn around time is already quick - the contract states that it will be a week (or two? I don't remember) but we got our pictures back in less than two days!! We love our pictures and cannot wait to have more sessions as our pregnancy progresses and after baby is born!

I can't say enough good things about this Photographer. She is amazing with Newborns and her photos are gorgeous. Looking forward to working with her again in the future.

Josie is so talented and amazing! I saw her maternity session work at a friends baby shower and it was so stunning. Then almost a year later, expecting our 2nd son I asked my friend who was her photographer because I was so in love with them. We just got our photos back and they turned out AMAZING!! The hardest part is parting with ANY of the work she has done! We are booking her baby milestone package with her and I'm SO beyond excited!!

Fantastic referral from a friend to go to SunnyMelon for Maternity and Newborn Photography. I am so glad I went to Josie. She did an amazing job capturing my maternity moments from the shoot. Not only that, she had maternity props that I could use at the studio which was a bonus. Josie is easy to work with and is a true professional behind the camera. The turnaround time for the photos is about 5 days. Can't wait for the newborn photos which I am sure it will turn out just as amazing as the maternity. Thank you so much. This was an incredible experience working with Josie. She was very gentle and she took time with my little one. Josie is very safety conscious, putting her " client" safety first. She has explained to me what props can be used for my little one and what not due to his age and weight, which I was disappointed that there are props that I really much like but...hey...nothing can be traded for the safety of my child. She is very responsive and well accommodated with our need. I actually got a session with booking time less than 24 hours. Thumb up! Also I very much like her editing style. It's very natural!

My experience with Josie was wonderful . I was a little worried on how my little one was going to do and if we were able get good pics as she doesn't like to sit still. But Josie was so patient and was able to settle her down and get her comfortable . Thank you so much Josie!

Between baby tantrums and Portland's unpredictable weather, Josie was wonderful and patient at guiding us through our photo shoot. She truly made us feel comfortable while capturing priceless moments of our family - our daugther was all giggles by the end (thanks Josie!). Josie was the utmost professional. She was incredibly accommodating especially when I had to reschedule as my baby was stricken with baby acne 3 days before her session. Once the day of the session arrived, my baby was extremely fussy and like a baby whisperer, Josie was able to calm her down. The price on the first year photos is super readonable too.
