David and Cheri worked with my wife and me to address window fashions for a home that we recently purchased. There were 34 very tall windows (6 ft. and 6 & 1/2 ft.) of various widths (18" to 5 & 1/2 ft). Cheri recommended high quality plantation shutters for the windows, pull down shades for the doors (also 6 ft. glass), and blinds for a couple of windows. Her treatment recommendations and color selections were excellent. Perfect for our home! The custom made plantation shutters were ordered, and came within 8 weeks. A very reasonable time for custom made plantation shutters. David worked with us to schedule an installation date and time. He completed a very professional and quality installation in less than one day. The plantation shutters look and function great. We are very pleased with Palmetto Window Fashions from our initial contact through installation. A very customer oriented, personable, and professional experience with excellent results. 5-stars for all aspects from start to finish!
I was a little skeptical when Cheri told me we would have much more light with their shade products. How can a shade bring in more light closed than my wooden slat blinds do when opened? I sew for a living, and know how texture and weave work in fabrics. Well she was right. Not only do they bring in more light, I tested them to see how they did at night with a light on in the bedroom- barely any shadows! Impressive. They help with the heat from the morning sun on our front windows, but bring in enough light for my plants. My husband loves the electronic shades in the living room- AND no more "clanking" of the blinds while opening the front door; and no more cleaning every week!!! Cheri knew just what I needed with color and texture and David installed them in 1.5 hours and took away our old blinds. I am very happy with our new blinds! Thank you Cheri and David!
